"Boat House - the perfect setting" Thank you Judith for being such a perfect host, the cream tea on arrival was gorgeous. Drinking a cuppa lying in bed every morning looking at the river was just perfect. We all had a relaxing, quiet, just what the doctor ordered break. The roof garden provides a wonderful view of the river and all the activity going on. Even binoculars provided to watch the heron on the river. A wonderful base to explore the area. High tides led to some amusement for townies like us!! Thank you.

We've been visiting the Boat House for many years and it just gets better and better. It offers so much more than the description. Judith pays particular attention to the smallest detail and also makes the most delicious bread. She's on hand but unobtrusive, rather like a good neighbour.Golant was ideal when our children were younger and we could watch them discreetly from the patio as they went alone to the play park feeling very independent. It continues to be ideal as they drive themselves down for a quick overnight stay to check up on their parents! The river offers extensive possibilities for us in canoes, and the wildlife is fantastic. Best of all we can paddle right up to the gate at the end of the day.The weather isn't always perfect but it can still be magical and the cottage is so cosy that it's sometimes nice just to sit inside and watch the constant movement of the water.Peace and quiet in the most beautiful Cornish location.

"The Boathouse cottage is the best rental cottage we have ever had. The interior was as if the owner was living there herself. We immediately felt at home. There was art on the walls, a wel equiped kitchen, docking station for our Ipod, flowers placed in every room and a very warm welcome with a cornish tea, homemade bread, wine and cheese. Owner Judith was available when ever we needed her, but she had covered all of our questions by forehand. Great place to visit the Eden project, The lost Gardens of Heligan, Padstow and have lunch or diner at Rick Stein's restaurant, a nice walk from the house to Fowey and lots of other interesting places to visit. The cottage is situated on the border of the river with only a small street between them. The view from the livingroom with the rivertide coming up and down was marvellous. We will certainly come back again and can recommend this property to everyone. Thanks Judith for all your warming extra's."

Our stay at The Boathouse in May was fantastic ! Judith, the owner, couldn't have done more to make our stay truly wonderful. Golant is perfect for young children with a park only a short walk away from the house and crabbing within a 2 minute walk. The cottage itself was completely spotless and very comfortable, would definately recommend.

The Boathouse is situated in a wonderful, dare I say, magical place! Judith, the owner,is a wonderful host and strikes that rare balance of being 'just on hand' and ensuring that everything is as it should be - whether it be proving delectable Cornish teas or crabbing nets for the kids!! The property itself is both immaculate and spotlessly clean. I would have no hesitation in recommending it!

I think The Boathouse must be in one of the most magical locations in the world, the views are truly amazing and it’s so nice to have the water right on your doorstep – so I won’t have any hesitation recommending them to our friends, as our holidays spent in Golant are always the best ones.
